Losing Weight the Natural Way

Losing weight can be a stress in many people’s lives, but it does not have to be. There are many reasons for gaining weight. In order to lose weight, we have to understand why we gain weight. Although, there are many reasons this week I want to highlight a few.

The first area to consider that effects weight gain is your liver. The liver has at least four hundred different jobs. One of the major functions of the liver is being a detoxifier. The liver is a filter to help cleanse our blood stream from medicines, chemicals, and pollutants. The less stress your liver has, the more adequate your body can remove waste and loss weight naturally.

It is obvious, healthier food choices are important to weight control. Caffeine, sugar, trans fat and inadequate fiber all need to be reduced as much as possible. Trying to eat more protein and vegetables, while trying to minimize carbohydrates and having portion control on the fruits you eat will drastically help the situation. The nutrient’s that you can not get through good eating should be supplemented.

Stress is another factor. When you have stress it makes it hard to lose weight and very easy to gain weight. When you are stressed, you tend take in more alcohol, sugar, cigarettes, or even medications. Most healing happens during sleep and stress inhibits good sleeping patterns. This all causes a cascade effect, in turn, weight gain.

Exercise is something that helps with these stress levels and helps fight off those extra pounds. Exercise by no surprise is so good at adding strength, endorphin production, more removal of waste, burning of calories, more sleep, and improves bowel movements. It does not have to take a lot of time but a good exercise program will help turn your body around.

The last, but most important factor to losing weight naturally is having a well functioning nervous system. Your body knows how to innately help keep you at a proper weight and keep you functioning properly. Since the nervous system controls and coordinates every function in our bodies, our spines need to be strong, and well-aligned. When out of alignment, the body cannot deal with weight gain efficiently.

Are You Toxic?

Toxins, they're everywhere. We are surrounded by them. They are impossible to avoid. The air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we drink all harbor them. Thinking about locking yourself away in an airtight chamber to avoid them? Can you believe you still wouldn't escape toxins? Reason being, your body produces waste products that increase toxicity on its own. This week I want to give you a good idea of the many toxins that can make you sick.
The two types of toxins are external and internal toxins. There are about 80,000 synthetic chemicals that are registered in the United States. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports that hundreds of these chemicals can be found in your body. These toxins can cause stress on your body. Research has found that these chemicals alter our reproductive, endocrine, immune, and nervous systems. This can make you unhealthy, and often times, you do not even realize it.
What are some specific external toxins? These will probably not come as a surprise to you. They are: air and water pollutants, pesticides and herbicides, household cleaning products, preservatives, pharmaceuticals, heavy metals, cosmetics, cigarette smoke, and caffiene. It is hard to avoid these totally, but know that the more these are in your life, the more overburdened your body and organs will be.
Internal toxins are important to look into as well. Most people do not realize that our bodies naturally increase our toxins. Some internal toxins are ammonia, carbon dioxide, and free radicals.
What are possible signs of a toxic body? Reduced mental clarity, low libido, food cravings and weight gain, fatigue or difficulty sleeping, stuffy head, and digestion and other gastrointestinal problems can be a handful of warnings of toxin overload in the body. Though those are some warning signs, I have to tell you that a lot of toxic bodies do not have any toxic warning signs.
So what is the answer? You can't depend upon "how you feel" to determine whether or not your are toxic. The answer is purification. Our bodies are designed to rid themselves of toxins. Unfortunately, they often get overburdened and are unable to rid those toxins. If you purify, you can rid your body of these dangerous toxins, and if your goal is losing weight, you can do that too. If you purify your body, you should see big differece in energy, vitality, and health. I think detoxification should become a regular part of your life. Take it from me, your body will thank you.
